The poster must have a size of 30inx45in.

Define the purpose of your paper. Knowing the purpose will help you decide what to include and what not to. Use high quality images or figures to illustrate the complex sets of numbers or texts. Please refer to the poster sample provided for the format and content.

There will be no oral presentation for the Poster Competition. In lieu of physical exhibits, all poster entries will be posted at the Poverty Conference and SSU official Facebook pages. We highly encourage social media engagement and participation from all contestants (e.g., Facebook sharing, comments).

All poster entries will be evaluated and reviewed by the evaluators via the set criteria
Best Poster Award
Three (3) Best Posters (1st, 2nd, & 3rd places) will be chosen across stands.
- Technical poster should be prepared following the prescribed format.
- The researcher(s) should be present during the poster session to answer clarifications and questions of the evaluators.
- Best poster should earn at least 85% to qualify for the award.
- The decision of the panel of judges shall be final and unappealable. The rating sheets are considered personal notes of the panel of Judges and shall not be given to any contestant or requesting party.
- Identified panel of judges shall evaluate all entries using the following criteria:
1. Clarity of Message | 40 Points |
a. Simplicity of language used (technical terms translated into or accompanied with common terms, words or names) | (10 pts) |
b. Understandability of message | (30 pts) |
1. Results of project/service | 30 points |
2. Visual Impact | 30 pts |
a. Color harmony | (5%) |
b. Readability of prints | (5%) |
c. Lay-out | (10%) |
d. Overall visual appeal | (10%) |
